Glossary Web explains Router
A router has a lot more capabilities as compared to other network devices including a hub that are only able to perform basic functions. Such as a hub device is often used to transfer data between the computer or network devices, but doesn’t analyze or do anything from the network. By contrast, the Router can analyze the data being sent over the network that changes how it is packaged and sends it to another network.
